Have
you heard about Down for Change™?
Down for Change™ is an exciting new concept that will raise funds
for high school clubs and double as a service project for students.
How
does Down for Change™ work?
It's simple! Just get involved in a project that improves your community,
spreads awareness about the acceptance and potential of people with
Down syndrome, and helps raise funds for Mile High Down Syndrome
Association’s excellent outreach programs.
Are
there incentives?
The reward is actually greater than just taking part in something that’s “bigger
than you are.” You will enjoy incentives, including this exclusive
two-for-one event!
- A
pre-game concert with local, up-and-coming band Born
in the Flood.
(The Flood just performed with The Fray at Red Rocks!)
- AND,
after the concert, you and your club members will go right into a Colorado
Crush game!!
The
club that raises the most funds will get the VIP treatment
at the concert as the grand prize. However, the real
payback for you will be getting revved up to make the world
a better place for babies, students, and adults with Down syndrome.
Use
your imagination!
You and your club members will use your imaginations to dream up original
ideas for fundraising, and your club will
keep 20% of the proceeds. MHDSA wants you to benefit
from your creativity and hard work. We encourage your club to either
invest the money back into your community, as in pay-it-forward, or simply
to keep the money to invest in your own club’s projects.
Interested?
If you’re interested in participating in Down for Change™ while
engaging in some friendly competition with other high schools and their
clubs, email Laura Driscoll,
or call her at 303-817-5216, and she ’ll send out an information
packet with all the details. Some
area high schools have already expressed interest, so don’t delay. |
